Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

We got these pecans as a neighbor gift at Christmas a few years back and let me tell you they are quite addictive.  They came in a cellophane bag with a cute tag and ribbon.  I knew at first bite that I wanted the recipe.  They are fun to serve with appetizers and also for salads, desserts or topping on ice cream.  I usually buy the pecan halves at Costco, you can't beat the price.  This is such a simple recipe and it makes the house smell heavenly.

Cinnamon Sugar Pecans

1 egg white
1 T. water

Beat until frothy.

4 cups pecan halves

Add egg white mixture to pecans and mix until coated.

1 cup sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. salt

Whisk these three ingredients together.

Pour the cinnamon sugar mixture over pecans and mix until coated.  Spread out on ungreased pan.

Bake at 225 degrees for 1 hour.  This is to just dry out the coating.   When I take them out of the oven I usually flip the pecans over and let them sit until cool to let them dry out all the way.  Enjoy!

Oh my goodness! These are so yummy. After I tried the original recipe I decided to try making them with Monk Fruit Sugar to cut the carbs/calories. THEY TURNED OUT SO GOOD! It was an equal substitution for sugar. Now I have a healthier alternative to these addictive treats. You cannot eat just one!
