Immune Booster Smoothie

I thought I would call this The Immune Booster Smoothie.  I know it sounds like something I would be posting on here in the winter months when the cold and flu season is upon us, but know, it reminds me of sunshine.  It's very refreshing and full of vitamins A, C, and potassium. If you like your smoothies extra icy and cold just throw four or five ice cubes in after you blend this up and give it a slight burst of power and there you go, a refreshing smoothie with crushed ice that will do a body good.

This Blendtec is my early anniversary and birthday present and I love it, thanks to my better half. You really need a strong blender like a Blendtec or Vita Mix to blend frozen fruit and ice. Some of the cheaper blenders just seem to wear out quickly as they do not have the power they need to do the job. I can't believe how it liquifies food. Of course you always have the pulse button if you want a chunky outcome.

Ingredients:
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
1/2 cup fresh strawberries
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
1 small banana

Directions:
Put in blender in order given and blend until desired consistency or press the automatic smoothie button.

Makes 16 ounces.
